General Conditions:
1. Candidates who have acquired the essential qualifications and awarded degree, before attending the Walk-in Interview are only eligible to attend. Candidates who are NOT meeting the eligibility criteria, MUST NOT attend.
2. Stipend: A monthly stipend of ` 37,000/- for JRF and ` 67,000/- for RA and Residential Accommodation will be provided. In case of non-availability of accommodation, HRA will be paid as per admissible rules.
3. Age Limit: The upper age limit for JRF is maximum 28 years and for RA is 35 years as on the date of walk-in interview. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST is up to 5 years and OBC is up to 3 years as per Govt. rules.
4. Tenure: JRF will be initially awarded for a period of 02 (Two) years. This may be upgraded as Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for a period of one year (3rd Year) and further SRF may again be extended for a period of one more year (4th Year) based on performance. RA fellowship is for 02 (Two) years only.
5. Application procedure: Eligible candidates may bring their duly completed applications as per enclosed format which can be downloaded from www.drdo.gov.in. Incomplete application are liable to be rejected.
6. Candidates will be required to produce all the testimonials (certificates, marks memorandum, etc.) related to age, education and community certificate (if applicable) in original during verification and submit self-attested photocopies of the same along with copy of Aadhaar Card and two recent passport size photographs at the time of Walk-in Interview, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Walk-in Interview.
7. The marks obtained in qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA/CPI, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA/CPI into percentage as per their university/institute norms. Candidate must submit the supporting documents for converting CGPA/CPI to equivalent percentage (%) from concerned University.
8. Candidates working in Govt. / Public sector undertaking / autonomous bodies should produce No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of Walk-in Interview failing which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Walk-in Interview.
Since fellowship is not employment, the offer of fellowship does not under any circumstances confer on the candidates any right for absorption in DRDO.
