Online applications are invited from eligible Indian SPORTS PERSONS for filling up of 54 Posts (05 in Pay Level 4/5, 16 in Pay Level 2/3 & 33 in Pay Level-1) in the following disciplines against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2023-24 over North Western Railway. Period of reckoning sports achievements :-
Only those Sportspersons who have acquired the sports achievements - eligibility norms in the championship on or after 01/04/2021 and are active will be eligible to apply for appointment against Sports Quota. For validity of sports achievement, concluding day of the championship/event shall be taken into account.
(6) Age Limit :-
Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01.01.2024 i.e must have been born not earlier than 02.01.1999 and not later than 01.01.2006. No age relaxation (upper age limit or lower age limit) shall be permissible.
Note :-10th/Matriculation Certificate/Equivalent Educational Certificate/Educational Certificate mentioning date of birth are mandatory for D.O.B otherwise application will be rejected)
Examination Fee :
For All Candidates except those mentioned in sub- Para (ii) below :- 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) with a provision for refunding of 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred) to those candidates who actually appear in the trial.
(ii) For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Women/Minorities* & Economically Backward Classes** :- 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only) with a provision for refunding the same to those candidates who actually appear in the trial.
* Minorities meaning Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zorastrians (Parsis). For claiming waiver of examination fee, Minorities candidates should submit ‘self declaration’ as mentioned in Annexure-III, At the time of Trial/Document Verification, such candidate claiming waiver of examination fee will be required to furnish ‘minority community declaration’ affidavit on nonjudicial stamp paper that he/she belongs to any of the above minority communities. If ‘self declaration’ as mentioned in Annexure-III not uploaded with online application or the affidavit is not produced during Trial/Document Verification, their candidature will be rejected.
** Economically Backward Class (EBC) means those whose annual family income is less than Rs. 50,000/-. They have to submit income certificate at the time of applying in the prescribed format as given in Annexure-IV on the letter head of the competent issuing authority.
SELECTION PROCEDURE :-
i. Selection will be based upon Document Verification, performance in Sports Trials and assessment of sports achievement & educational qualification etc. Selection will be conducted by North Western Railway, Headquarter, Jaipur for vacancies of Head Quarter Quota and by respective Division/Workshop for vacancies of Divisions/Workshop Quota.
ii. After scrutiny of applications by Scrutiny Committee short-listed eligible candidates will be called for Document Verification & Trial of sports performance. Candidates who will found suitable in Document Verification by Document Verification Committee, Trials of those candidates will be conducted by Trial Committee. Trial Committee conduct trial to assess their sports performance and suitability for Railway/Unit team as well as Indian Railways team. Trial Committee shall give its recommendation in terms of either FIT or NOT FIT, for consideration for next stage, by giving marks as per the criteria
iii. After Trial only the FIT Candidates in trial shall be considered for the next stage i.e. assessment of sports achievement & educational qualification by the Recruitment Committee.
iv. Recruitment Committee shall award the marks (out of 60 marks) only to the FIT candidates for their sports achievements, educational qualifications etc. Candidates declared ‘NOT FIT’ will not be assessed further by the Recruitment Committee.
v. Assessment of sports achievement & educational qualification of the FIT candidates shall invariably be held on the same day, just after trials or at the most, next day of the trials.
vi. Recruitment Committee is to add the marks given by the Trial Committee to the FIT candidates ( i.e., out of 40 marks), in order to make the final merit list (out of 100 marks.)

13.6 On submission of required details, E-mail/SMS will be sent to the registered E-mail ID/Mobile No.
13.7 Open inbox of your register E-mail/SMS and note the registration no. and password.
13.8 Login using the registration no. and password.
13.9 Follow the instructions and complete the registration process step by step.
13.10 Upload the scanned copy of photograph, signature, self attested copies of requisite certificates.
